Capital Punishment, the next solution?

"The possible consequence of losing one's own life is sufficient deterrent for many not to commit murder. The very fact that some killings are planned and executed in cold blood means that the killer has forfeited his/her own right to life. I believe that capital punishment is proper—after all, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth"

In the olden days, if an individual ever committed an act which negatively impacted the lives of others, the certain individual would have to serve a penalty which is now known as inhumane.

Capital Punishment, also known as the death penalty was given to those beings who took the lives of others.

As the quote above, it was believed that the criminal had to repay "an eye for an eye"; therefore meaning that if they took the life of another, the punishment would be their own life.

After many protests against Capital punishment from not only families but by organizations such as Amnesty, many countries declared to ban capital punishment; however due to the increase in crimes, many countries are "reconsidering" this mean of payment.

A lot of bodies now believe that if a criminal is afraid of risking their own life, they will repent the crime and not commit it at all. But is Capital Punishment the best way to avoid crimes?

Sometimes when a person was deemed guilty of a crime they didn't commit, they would have to spend their life in prison due to the unavailability of DNA and forensic testing. If Capital Punishment was present then, the innocent individual would be put to death without even getting a chance to prove themselves not guilty.

I believe that Capital Punishment is not only inhumane, but is also pointless. Why? Well if a criminal is put to death after they have commit ed an act, they firstly have learned nothing from their mistake, and secondly, they have not been given the chance to fully regret their actions.

The solution? I believe sentencing someone for life is the best solution. Why? It is not inhumane, and truly influences the individual to understand the meaning of wasting another being's life as their own is wasted before them.

Truly I think that no one has the right to take someones life, whether it is a crook, or even the Justice system. A person can only learn from their mistakes if they are given a chance to reflect upon them. Yes Capital punishment erases criminals, but if the law starts taking lives, what is the difference between a crook and the system itself?
